I stagger my dose to maximize how much is absorbed. This is also why I cannot take antihistamine type meds like mirtazapine and quetiapine. I physically cannot sleep if I’m experiencing an episode. It’s been a bit less recently but keeping up with my physique goals really helps me sleep. It works so much better for me this way, empty stomach or not. I take it sublingually because of this reason. It’s not going to work if you ate less than 4 hours beforehand. You need an empty stomach when dosing orally. It never stops working for me and I don’t really get rebound insomnia. I almost always sleep at least 7 hours now.
